When: June 14, 2025 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Where: Hutchinson Ranch Conservancy/Nature Conservancy, creek north of highway 567
Purpose: to continue gathering information on the biodiversity of the Bighill Creek Watershed; data will be recorded through the iNaturalist program as part of our local and continental data bases. The iNaturalist App must be downloaded onto a cell phone and the photos taken via phones. Regular camera photography will also be welcome.
Coordination: with Nature Alberta that is conducting a provincial BioBlitz June 13-15.
iNaturalist – you will need to download the App (free) and join the Bighill Creek Bioinventory project.
Please note: No dogs are allowed as the owner has cattle in the area.
Welcome: We welcome volunteers of all ages who are interested and willing to contribute to the data bases. It is by special permission of the current landowner that we will have access to this significant conservancy area on June 14.
