Residents Gravel Update – Aggregate Resource Plan (ARP) (# 20) Please attend the ARP Public Hearing on Wednesday June 18th, 2025!
This is a request, for residents to show their support for the implementation of the ARP. The proposed Aggregate Resource Plan (ARP), though not as comprehensive as many would like, is a significant step toward better management of the industry. Many residents in the western portion of Rocky View County (RVC), while recognizing the need for gravel, also see a requirement for better long range resource development planning, regulation and oversight to avoid degradation of their health and that of our surrounding environment.
If the ARP is not approved by RVC Council on June 18th, we will continue to see the “Wild West” expansion of gravel development in our backyard.
