Eagle reporter Ryan Uytdewilligen in an article posted September 1, 2026 provides a review of the issues set for an upcoming Alberta Environmental Appeals Board hearing over Aecon Transportation West Ltd’s aggregate extraction site. Bighill Creek Preservation Society (BCPS) along with others have filed an appeal of the approval of the extraction site. The hearing is set for Oct. 28 – 30 in Cochrane and then virtually Nov. 4 and 5. Learn more at www.eab.gov.ab.ca
