Two volunteers from the recently completed SAIT Capstone project at Bighill Creek (Alex Whale and Fabio Ueda), and Joe Fowler from the BRBC were using brand new monitoring equipment on Bighill Creek today. A TD Friends of the Environment Fund grant of $9200 enabled the purchase of new monitoring equipment! The equipment will also be used to work on water quality sampling with students on the Stoney Nakoda reserve.
Volunteers and the equipment mean we can continue monitoring the riparian health of Bighill Creek. Volunteers make all the difference! We welcome anyone interested in learning how to monitor and how to be part of the volunteer team that ensures ongoing monitoring of Bighill Creek. Please contact us to volunteer.
