Bighill Springs Preservation Society is beholden to Lyse Carignan, our long-serving Secretary-Treasurer who has recently retired from our Board of Directors. Lyse has been with us from the beginning in 2015 as we developed the society’s Mission and Objectives that have guided us for 10 years as we researched, wrote up and published our State of the Watershed report.
Throughout the past 10 years Lyse kept our meeting minutes and financial records. She answered emails, helped with water quality work by being our liaison with the Creek Watch program as well as consistently organizing and volunteering for many public events and our three BioBlitz days.
Lyse will be remembered by our group of advocates for Bighill Creek for her dedication and untiring help through our first 10 years. We wish her the best as she moves on to pursue her artistic interests. – BCPS Board of Directors
