Daniel Robert Brown
Daniel Robert Brown was a long-time friend to many of southern Alberta’s conservation groups, particularly those working with water. Elbow River Watershed Partnership, Bow River Basin Council and Bighill Creek Preservation Society were only some of the organizations benefitting from Dan’s participation. His expertise was as a Hydrogeologist, and he had a long and distinguished career with Golder Environmental Services.
Bighill Creek Preservation Society is most appreciative of the straightforward advice on groundwater issues that he’d provide us whenever asked. We offer our sincere condolences to his wife Lois and his family.
Dan passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, a celebration of his life will be held at Cochrane Ranche House, Sunday July 13, 2025, at 2pm. His obituary is posted here.
