Silent Auction to Benefit BCPS

Karl Geist is no stranger to the community of folks who care about the conservation of fish, freshwater and healthy riparian habitats.  His art is found in collections around the world and if you are familiar with Alberta’s Fishing Regulations, you know Karl’s paintings are found within the regulations to illustrate the different types of fish found in Alberta.

This is your chance to own an original Karl Geist painting.  A generous donor has offered for silent auction one of Karl’s fine watercolour paintings. The beautifully detailed painting is a Brown Trout with a distinctive kype (the hooked elongated protrusion on its lower jaw that male salmonoids develop during spawning season). The painting including mat and frame measures 21.75” x 25.5”  (55cm x 65cm). The winning bid for the painting pictured here will be announced at the BCPS AGM on April 25, 2026.

Please, consider making a bid on this original, beautifully framed painting by emailing the society at info@bighillcreek.ca with your name and bid amount to be part of the auction.

BCPS operating funds come from the generous donations and gifts of time members and the Board of Directors provide.  Your bid and purchase will provide an important boost to the society’s funds.
