SAIT Students Alex Whale and Fabio Ueda have completed a Capstone Project Report for BCPS. Students in the Integrated Water Management Program at SAIT, Whale and Ueda worked to compile, organize, and perform high-level analysis on historical water quality data from the Bighill Creek watershed, where monitoring efforts have been ongoing since 2017. The report’s purpose is to assist Wendell Koning (BCPS member and Limnologist) in coordinating a State of the Watershed Report, which aims to contribute meaningfully to the long-term health and conservation of the Bighill Creek watershed.
BCPS thanks SAIT Instructors, Pieter Aukes, Nisha Saini, Candice Rojanschi-Young, Danica Pawson, Lisa Kleebaum, Jojo Hsu, and Colin Pattison for their support and guidance.
Thank you, Fabio, thank you, Alex, for all your work. On behalf of BCPS, we greatly appreciate your contributions to the Society’s efforts to provide sound, science-based information about the watershed. This provides all those interested in sound watershed management with substance upon which to base decisions.
We look forward to your continued support conducting field monitoring at the creek as volunteers for the Society.
