You might want to listen to Dr Masaki Hayashi, a Geoscientist from the UofC who was interviewed by CBC Radio on the program called ‘What on Earth’. The program was broadcast February 4th on CBC Radio 1. He makes some very good points, especially near the end where he mentions increasing use of groundwater, observations of the lowest groundwater levels in water wells in his Rocky View County study area and reduced stream flow (obviously including Bighill Creek- which Masaki’s group monitors regularly).
